Privacy Policy

Account data. When you create an account we store your email address and an encrypted authentication record through our database and authentication provider.

Recipe preferences. The ingredients you select, your searches and your interface language. Language and local preferences are stored in your browser.

Payment and subscription data. If you subscribe, our payment provider processes your card details. We never see or store full card numbers; we only receive subscription status and billing metadata.

Technical data. Basic request and error logs (IP address, browser type, timestamps) used to keep the service secure and working.

To provide recipe recommendations, keep you signed in, manage subscriptions, respond to support requests, and improve reliability of the service. We do not sell your data and do not use it for third-party advertising.

We use strictly necessary cookies and browser local storage for your session and your interface language (stored under the key basekook.lang). No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are used.

Supabase — database, authentication and hosting of application data.

Stripe — payment processing and subscription billing.

These processors act on our behalf under their own privacy terms, and may process data outside your country under appropriate safeguards.

Account and subscription data is kept while your account is active and for as long as required by accounting and legal obligations. Logs are kept for a short period only.

You can request access to, correction of, export of, or deletion of your personal data, withdraw consent, or object to certain processing. To delete your account and associated data, contact us and we will action the request without undue delay.

BaseKook is not directed at children under 16.
